Lincoln Softball Clinic
We are excited to bring back softball camp to Lincoln this summer. At the Lincoln Softball summer camp we are committed to promoting an environment that is fun, positive, learning-packed and safe for all of our campers. Our camp will focus on meeting players where they currently are and delivering training and programs that allow all players to learn, develop and enhance their physical skills, mental strength, confidence and sportsmanship. Our hope is that each athlete leaves with growth that will strengthen them on the field and off the field.
We have a variety of guest coaches, drills, games, "classroom learning", and special speakers, to ensure all campers have the chance to learn in a way that is best for them and to keep them energized and focused. Each camper can expect to experience stations/training in all of the following areas:
Physical softball skills, including:
Throwing
Catching
Fielding
Hitting
Base running
The game of softball and rules
Game situations
The importance of being a team player
proper fundamentals
stretching and resting
Mental toughness, confidence and leadership
Sportsmanship and respecting themselves and others
Throughout camp we will have fun activities such as the ice cream truck visit, a coach showcase (held by our local high school players), sliding instruction and practice, water balloons and more. We will do our best to communicate in advance which days these will be occurring so players are appropriately prepared.
